ICE OUT!
A Heated Rivalry fandom fundraiser to support immigrant rights in America
ICE is terrorizing communities in the United States, tearing families apart by kidnapping and imprisoning our neighbors. Let’s come together to raise funds for organizations supporting those impacted by the violence and abuse we’re seeing more of every day. As a fandom, we can do our part by using our love for Heated Rivalry to get ICE OUT!
How It Works
For creators:
1. Sign up from 20th to 30th Jan: you'll be asked for the type and number of fanworks you'd like to create, preferred genres and DNWs, a link to your socials (eg AO3/tumblr/twitter/etc.), as well as your email
2. Creators will be invited to an event discord server via email once sign-ups close
3. Mods will match fanwork prompts from donors to each creator in turn
4. Complete your fanwork and gift it to your assigned donor by the deadlineFor donors:
1. Donate to any of the supported non-profits listed from 1st to 14th Feb. The more you donate, the more you can customise the fanwork you'll recieve:
- $5: choose a pairing, rating, and do-not-wants (DNWs) for your gift
- $10: choose what type of fanwork you'll receive, in addition to pairing/rating/DNWs
- $20: provide a short prompt for your creator, in addition to fanwork type/pairing/rating/DNWs
2. Save/screenshot your donation receipt. It should state the date and the amount donated.
3. Fill in the donor form (available 1st to 14th Feb). Attach your donation receipt with all identifying information blacked out.
4. Await your fanwork gift as thanks for your donation

- Creator sign-ups: 20th Jan to 30th Jan
- Donation period (wave 1): 1st to 14th Feb
- Fanwork gifts due (wave 1): 30th Apr

Fanworks
There are a few types of fanworks you can sign up to create and receive:
- Fanfic: at least 1000 words
- Fanart: at least one piece of clean line art, or the equivalent in other mediums
- Podfic: at least 2000 words
- Fanvid: at least 15 seconds of edited videoWant to create fanwork that isn't listed above (eg filk, gifsets, meta posts, etc)? We'd love to have you! Sign up with the creator form, and we'll chat with you about it before we open for donations

FAQ
- What is the minimum age to join this event? This event is 18+ only.- How do I send you money? You don't! Please donate directly to any of the supported non-profits we've listed, and submit your donation receipt to us via our form with identifying information blacked out.- I don't have a discord/twitter/bluesky/etc. account, can I still join? As a creator, you must have a discord and an email account. As a donor, you only need an email account so that we can send you a link to your gift.- I have not created any Heated Rivalry fanworks before, can I still sign up as a creator? Yes! We would like creators to have made any fanworks before, not just fanworks from this fandom.- As a donor, can I choose which creator makes me a fanwork? No, the mods will match your prompt to the creator they feel is best suited to create a gift for you. You can however let us know of any DNWs (ie do-not-wants: any elements/tropes you would not want to receive in a gift).- How many prompts can I ask for? As many as you like, as long as you have donated the required amount. So if you've donated $20, you can ask for four $5 prompt, two $10 prompts, or a single $20 prompt.
